Care tips: Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)
The Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) is a classic and popular indoor plant loved for its glossy green leaves and long lasting white flowers. It is also loved for its air purifying properties.
💧 Watering
- Drooping: Peace Lilies will tell you when they're thirsty by drooping. Give them a good drink at this time and they will perk right back up. This is a great visual cue to know when to water your plant and helps you avoid over-watering.
☀️ Light & Temperature
- Light: Place in medium to bright filtered, indirect light. Strictly avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
-
Climate: Keep between 16–27°C. Avoid drafts from heating and air-conditioning.
✂️ Maintenance
- Pruning: Remove faded, dead, or yellowing leaves and brown, wilted flowers by cutting them off at the base.
🐶🐱 Pet safety
- All parts of the Peace Lily are toxic and mildly poisonous to humans and pets if ingested, so keep them out of reach.
